Badass Blond Ales!

It’s finally here! On Saturday, the Belgian Import Festival arrives at Bruz Midtown. The Festival will feature 20 Belgian breweries and importers, represented by their owners and brewers and, of course, their amazing beers! It’s going to be the best beer fest of the summer, and we at Bruz Beers are proud to have been chosen to host this amazing event!

Belgian Blond Ales and Strong Goldens

While Belgium is well-known for its dark and sour beers, Belgian Blond ales and Strong Golden beers are among the world’s finest brews and are the favorites of many Belgians. A wide array of these amazing beers will be pouring at the Belgian Import Festival.

  • At the festival, Duvel will be pouring some of their most iconic beers. Classic Duvel will be served, along with Duvel 666 and their hoppy Duvel Triple Hop.

  • Kerel is one of Belgium’s older breweries that went quiet for a while before emerging with new life in 2015. In addition to their excellent Stout, Kerel will be showcasing its outside-the-lines Saison and their amazing Kerel Kaishaku, a 15% ABV pale golden beer that has been called Belgium’s best on more than a few occasions.

  • Sint Bernardus will be bringing a number of their fine Abbey ales, including their outstanding St. Bernardus Tripel.

  • Brasserie Achouffe will be pouring their classic La Chouffe golden ale along with their IPA-hoppy Houblon Chouffe.

  • Val-Dieu is serving both their classic Triple and their amazing Grand Cru.

  • Trappist Westmalle will bring their iconic Westmalle Tripel, the first modern Tripel, which sets the standard for classic Tripels in Belgium.

  • From Bruges, Brouwerij De Halve Maan (Half-Moon) will be serving their big, complex Straffe Hendrik Tripel, as well as their popular 6% Blond Ale, Brugse Zot.

  • In the strong golden beer category, Abbey brewer St. Feuillien makes some of the finest strong blond ales out there. You would have a hard time finding two more outstanding examples than their flavorful Tripel and their iconic St. Feuillien Grand Cru.

  • Tripel Karmeliet is one of the most popular Tripels, containing a three-grain blend of barley, wheat and oats. Its drinkability and unique flavor profile make this one a real go-to Tripel.

  • Wrapping up the Strong Golden Ale style at the fest is Delerium Tremens, the famous “pink elephant” beer. Delerium will also be pouring their fruity Delerium Red, their dark Delerium Nocturnum, Delerium Sour, and non-alcoholic Delerio.

The Belgian Import Festival runs from 12:00 to 3:00 this Saturday, June 7th, at Bruz Beers Midtown, 1675 West 67th Avenue in Denver.

And please don’t forget to stroll into Bruz and sample some of our own badass Belgian-style golden beers, including our popular Bruz Tripel, Strong Golden Diablo Colorado, hoppy Green Ghost Tripel, and our two White Tripels, Whiple and Orange Whiple.
