Bruz Barrel-aged Stout and Talnua Whiskey - Taste Them Together
Last year, we collaborated with our friends at the Talnua Distillery in Arvada to create a special beer aged in one of their whiskey barrels. We chose one of our biggest and most characterful beers–Cooper’s Imperial Stout–to go into the barrel that had aged one of Talnua’s Gaelic-inspired whiskies. The result? Wow!
The Beer
Aged just shy of a year in the Talnua barrel, this beer has a beautifully light mocha head, a whiskey & roast aroma, and is deceptively smooth. The hugely complex flavor is a beautiful balance of whiskey, dark chocolate, & subtle smoke. And, at 18% alcohol, this beer is as dangerous as it is delicious.
The Event
This Friday night only, Tulnua’s award-winning distillers and Bruz’s award-winning brewers will be on hand to talk with you about this amazing creation. You will not only be able to sample the beer, but also taste the whiskey that was in the barrel before the beer went into it. And, for Friday only, you will have the opportunity to purchase a bottle of the whiskey straight from the Talnua distillery (the distiller will even autograph your bottle for you)!
