UllrGrass Beer Festival will be held in Parfet Park in Golden, CO on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 1-4pm, running concurrently with the UllrGrass Music Festival mainstage program. Beer festival tickets will be sold separately and include entry to the Parfet Park stage.

Meet the Bruz Beers and Regis University experts that will be traveling along on your epic trip and ask any questions you may have. Informational meetings will be held at Bruz Beers Thursday, January 3rd, 10th, 17th and 31st. from 7p-8p. The final informational meeting will be held Thursday, February 7th, 7p-8p.

Bruz Beers, Denver’s premier Belgian style brewery, has teamed with Matthew Peetz, Director of Applied Craft Brewing Certificate at Regis University to create a very special trip to Belgium. Learn from the masters of the craft by getting educated at Bruz Beers before departing on the 10-day trip May 11-21, 2019. Get unprecedented access to Trappist, Farmhouse and Lambic style breweries - places the general public cannot get into. Bruz Beers and Regis University will be traveling with you, enhancing the experience as we eat and drink our way through Belgium.

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: SATURDAY, MAY 11 - Departure from Denver - Icelandair #670 (4:50pm)

DAY 2: SUNDAY, MAY 12 - BRUSSELS
Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and proceed to visit the Belgian Beer Museum, where you will be shown implements, brewing and fermentation tubs, a boiling kettle and the material found in an eighteenth-century brewery. After lunch on your own, enjoy a guided visit of the fabulous Cantillon Brewery, where Lambic, Gueuze and Kriek have been made since 1900. Before checking into your hotel, enjoy a walking tour in the historic district of Brussels. Dinner at T. Klederke Resturant / Overnight at 4*Hotel Sandton Bruxelles Centre (or similar).

DAY 3: MONDAY, MAY 13 - BRUSSELS / VILLIERS LA VILLE / LEUZE EN HAINAUT / MONS
After breakfast begin a day of visits to historic breweries. Transfer to Villiers la Ville (31 miles), and learn about the various beers brewed at the Microbrewery of the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville. Next transfer to Leuze en Hainaut (56 miles); and after lunch on your own, visit Brewery Dupont dating back to 1844. Afterwards transfer to Dour for a visit of the Brewery de Blaugies, a small, traditional, family-run brewery. Finally, transfer to Mons (16 miles) and check-into your hotel. Dinner on your own / Overnight at 4* Hotel Lido Mons Centre (or similar).

DAY 4: TUESDAY, MAY 14 - MONS / ORVAL / DINANT
After breakfast transfer to Orval Abbey (130 miles). The visit includes an audiovisual presentation of the history of the monastery and of the present-day life of the Community, access to the ruins of the medieval abbey, the museum housed in the foundations of the 18th century buildings, the pharmaceutical museum and the medicinal herb-garden (The abbey’s brewery is not open to public.The distinctive fruity and bitter taste of Orval beer means it has become a genuine reference in the exclusive world of authentic Trappist beers.) After lunch on your own, continue to Maison Leffe in Dinant (64 miles) and see impressive views over the Muese Valley and explore the rich character and deep roots of exceptional abbey beer. End the day with a visit of the Dinant Citadel and Dinner at a restaurant or your hotel / Overnight at 3***Ibis Dinant.

DAY 5: WEDNESDAY, MAY 15 - DINANT / SCOURMONT / CHIMAY / MAREDSOUS / DINANT
After breakfast transfer to Scourmont and see the exterior of Scourmont Abbey and its gardens. The monastery was established in 1850 and around the monastery a farm, a brewery, and a cheese plant were set. Next transfer to Chimay (6 miles) for a guided visit of the Espace Chimay. This will give you insights into the ethical production and marketing of the Trappist Cheese and Beer products in Chimay. Continue on to Maredsous (38 miles) and visit the Maredsous Abbey, known in the entire world thanks to the famous Maredsous beer. Monks in this abbey are very welcoming, believing that all guests to the monastery should be welcomed as Christ. Finally head back to Dinant (13 miles). Dinner on your own / Overnight at 3***Ibis Dinant.

DAY 6: THURSDAY, MAY 16 - DINANT / BRUGELETTE / DIXMUDE / VLETEREN / POPERINGE
After breakfast transfer to Brugelette (76 miles) to see Cambron-Casteau Abbey, founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks under St Bernard. It was rebuilt in the 18th century, then destroyed by decree during the French Revolution and now only ruins remain. Next transfer to Diksmuide for a vist of De Dolle Brewery, founded in 1835; then transfer to Vleteren (13 miles) and visit the Westvleteren Museum and Abbey, where you will get an introduction into the history of the brewery and the details of the brewing process of Trappist beer. Transfer to Poperinge (4.5 miles). Dinner at a restaurant or your hotel / Overnight at 4****Hotel Recour or similar

DAY 7: FRIDAY, MAY 17 – POPERINGE / BRUGES
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Bruges (53 miles). Start the morning with a stroll through the Bruges Medieval Market, dominated by its Belfry, for centuries the city’s foremost edifice and the perfect look-out in case of war, fire or any other calamity. Continue with the Begijnhof (except house). This is the only preserved beguinage (which housed lay religious women) in Bruges. There are no more Beguines living there, but since 1927 it functions as a convent for Benedictines. Then explore Burg square, a place full of history. The buildings in Burg square represent a variety of architectural styles from the Gothic to Renaissance to the Neo-Classicist which includes what is perhaps the most beautiful building in Bruges, the Gothic Town Hall or Stadhuis, dating from 1376. To the right of the Town Hall you will find the Basilica of the Holy Blood, where the Relic of the Holy Blood is kept. Visit the Basilica (except for the Treasury), then end your city tour on the beautiful Saint Boniface Bridge. After lunch on your own, visit the Brasserie de Halve Maan, where for centuries the Maes family has been brewing beer. End the day with a visit of the Choco Story Belgian Chocolate Museum. Dinner on your own / Overnight at 4* Hotel Jan Brito (or similar).

DAY 8: SATURDAY, MAY 18 - BRUGES / GHENT / BEERSEL / BRUSSELS
After breakfast, transfer to Ghent (57 Miles). Visit the Gravensteen Castle which dates back to 1180 and was the residence of the Counts of Flanders until 1353. It was subsequently used as a court, prison, mint and even as a cotton factory. After lunch on your own, transfer to Beersel (40 miles) for a visit of the Drie Fonteinen Brewery before returning to Brussels (14 miles). Dinner at a restaurant or your hotel / Overnight at 4* Hotel Sandton Bruxelles Centre (or similar).

DAY 9: SUNDAY AND MONDAY, MAY 19 & 20 - BRUSSELS
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy free days in Brussels. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Overnight at 4* Hotel Sandton Bruxelles Centre (or similar).

DAY 10: TUESDAY, MAY 21 - Departure from Brussels - Icelandair #555 (2:00pm)
